Using the wrong application causes most setup failures. Look for the exact details below before installing anything.

Portal URL Included

Your activation email contains a web address beginning with http:// or https:// and identifies it as a Portal URL.

MAC Address Required

The service must be connected to a MAC address, normally beginning with 00:1A:79. Keep the MAC screen open while contacting support.

Username And Password Only?

Do not use STBEmu for a normal Xtream Codes or M3U login. IPTV PRO is the easier priority option on supported Android devices.

STBEmu is a player, not a subscription
The application does not include television channels. It must be configured with the portal information supplied by KING TV.

CREATE A PROFILE

Open STBEmu And Create A KING TV Profile

The screenshots come from the original KING TV guide. Newer versions may look slightly different, but the menu names and setup order remain similar.

Open STBEmu

Launch the application from the Android apps screen.

Open The App Menu

Double tap the screen, use the menu button or hold OK on the remote, then choose Settings.

Open Profiles and choose the existing profile or select Add Profile.

Name The Profile KING TV

Select Profile Name, enter KING TV and confirm the change.

ENTER THE PORTAL URL

Copy The Portal Address Exactly From Your Email

Do not enter your username, password or M3U playlist in the Portal URL field. The address must begin with http:// or https://.

Inside the KING TV profile, select Portal Settings.

Open the Portal URL field to edit the address.

Enter The KING TV Portal

Delete the demonstration address, paste the complete portal address from your email and select OK.

SET THE EMULATED MAC ADDRESS

The portal and MAC address must match the activation on your KING TV account. Send support the exact MAC shown in STBEmu when activation is required.

Open MAC Address and carefully record the complete value shown by the app.

Use The Correct Format

Most MAG-style portals use a MAC beginning with 00:1A:79 followed by six hexadecimal characters separated by colons.

Avoid The All-Zero Ending

If the app generates 00:1A:79:00:00:00, change the final six characters to a unique hexadecimal value before sending it to support.

Do Not Change It Later

Changing the MAC after activation can stop the portal from loading. Keep a photograph or note of the working value.

SAVE AND CONNECT

Restart STBEmu And Load The KING TV Portal

After the portal and MAC address have been entered, close the application completely and open it again.

FINAL STEPS
1. Press Back Until Settings Close
Allow the application to save the profile changes.
2. Exit STBEmu Completely
Use the Android recent apps screen and close the player.
3. Open STBEmu Again
The application should begin connecting to the configured portal.
4. Wait For The Portal To Load
The first connection can take longer while the device is being authorized.

Authorization message after setup?
The portal may still require the MAC address to be activated on your KING TV account. Send support the MAC shown in STB Configuration and the complete error message.

OPTIONAL TROUBLESHOOTING

Disable Network Cache Only When The Portal Loops Or Loads Slowly

This is not required for every device. Try it only after the portal URL and MAC address have been checked.

Open Settings, Common Settings and then Network Settings.

Turn Off Network Cache

Untick Enable Network Cache, restart the app and test again. Turn it back on if performance becomes worse.

PORTAL NOT LOADING

Check The Full URL

Confirm the address begins with http:// or https:// and contains no spaces. Re-enter it manually if it was copied incorrectly.

AUTHORIZATION FAILED

Verify The MAC Address

Send support a clear photograph of the MAC shown inside STB Configuration and wait for activation confirmation.

BLACK SCREEN

Change The Media Player

Open the profile Media Player setting and test Exo, VLC or another available player supported by the device.

BUFFERING

Restart The Network

Restart the router and Android device, test Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi and close other streaming applications.

WORKS ON MOBILE DATA

Check The Home Connection

Does STBEmu include television channels?

No. STBEmu is only a portal player and hardware emulator. It must be configured with portal details supplied by KING TV.

Can I enter an M3U playlist in STBEmu?

No. STBEmu is designed for web portals and does not use a normal M3U playlist. Use IPTV PRO, IPTV Smarters or TiviMate for supported playlist and Xtream Codes accounts.

Should I install the free or Pro version?

Both versions provide the main portal functions. The free edition contains advertisements. The Pro edition removes advertisements.

Where do I find the Portal URL?

It is supplied in the KING TV activation email for portal-based accounts. Do not guess the address or use the website homepage URL.

What should the MAC address look like?

Most portal configurations use a MAC beginning with 00:1A:79 followed by six hexadecimal characters. Use the exact value activated on your account.

Why does my MAC end with 00:00:00?

Some Android devices cannot provide a usable hardware MAC because of Android restrictions. Change the last six hexadecimal characters to a unique value before sending it to support.

Why does the portal say authorization failed?

The Portal URL and MAC address may not match the account activation. Send support the exact MAC, device model and complete error message.

Should I disable network cache?

Only test this when the portal loops or loads slowly after the URL and MAC have been verified. Restore the setting if playback becomes worse.
